Read Psalm 89:19-29

Memorize Psalm 92: 10-11

“You have exalted my hornlike that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.  My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.”

Facing Reality

In the olden days in Israel they anointed their sheep with special oil that contained special spices.  The reason was to free them from flies and insects and all kinds of things that would try to attack them.  Use of these special spices renders the sheep free, protected and preserved from all kinds of attacks. When you are anointed by oil in the name of the Lord, the benefits far outweigh the experience of the anointed animal.

By the reason of that anointing you are going to be strengthened in the spirit for battle.

There is something about being anointed with oil in the name of the Lord.  The enemy cannot handle the power of the Holy Spirit that is imparted by the anointing.  When the oil is prayed over, it ceases to be just oil. It becomes a medium for the transference of the power of God.  Something happens supernaturally that causes the believer to begin to experience unusual victories in the spirit.

The scripture says I shall be anointed with fresh oil and because of the oil the enemy shall not exalt on him; wickedness will not afflict him.

Why should you as a believer continue to have all kinds of nightmares at night? Have you thought of one day anointing yourself before going to bed and making declarations towards a peaceful night sleep?

Making it Personal:

What is one specific truth God is teaching now?

How can I apply what God is teaching right now?

What do I want to share with God concerning what He has taught me?
