Read Revelation 4:1-11

Memorize Hebrews 12: 28

“Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe.”

Facing Reality

The church on earth is expected to do what the 24 elders do all the time – worship God. Now that creates a problem for us because of what we perceive as worship. Our concept of worship is restricted to someone introducing songs and singing in church, or playing some music with Christian lyrics in your car, or participating in a “worship conference” organized by a great gospel musician who is popular around the globe.  These happen as an event in a location. The spirit of worship if present, actually finds expression in an individual’s lifestyle. It shows when you are at work,   when you are at the beach with your friends, when you sit in front of your boss receiving instructions, or giving instructions to your subordinates in your company. You can worship God through your actions, with your time, and in how you treat others.

Every believer is expected to be a worshipper first, and secondly a participator of worship in a corporate church setting.  We worship God with our heart and not our lips.

Making it Personal

What is one specific truth God is teaching now?

How can I apply what God is teaching right now?

What do I want to share with God concerning what He has taught me?
