The distance between where you are and where you want to be is as long as “I wish” and as short as “I will” When you say “I wish,” you make no demands on yourself. You set no deadlines or constraints on yourself.

Instead, start every statement with, “I will.” I WILL finish my degree. I WILL lose this weight. I WILL put in the work to repair my marriage. Moving from wishing to arriving is simply commanding the will to make it happen!
