Read 2 Corinthians 10:1-6

Memorize   Zechariah 4:6

“Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts.”

Facing Reality

It takes spiritual armory to fight spiritual warfare. There is the defensive armor and weapons of attack.  All our defensive armor is in front of us.  There is nothing on the side and nothing behind us. Imagine the way a Roman army is protected when he goes to battle.  It is difficult to kill him because there is a shield on every side.  The shield is about 7 ft. tall.  When lifted up, it covers the soldier from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet so anything coming from above is blocked by the shield.

The good news for the believer is that The Lord being is the believer’s shield. He stands over and above the believer in the combat to ensure that the missiles from the enemy are nowhere near the believer. We need to learn how to stay under the shield to be safe.

The devil uses lies to breed mistrusts, deceptions, divisions, strife’s, hurts, misinterpretations, offenses and the like, secluding the believer and then he becomes an easy prey.

The way we cast down imaginations is to replace those imaginations with what God has said. Every spiritual authority in the heavens bows to the eternal statements God made. This is why the believer needs to know what God’s word says so he can counteract all those imaginations.

As you reflect again on today’s passage, plan how you will combat the issues in your personal spiritual warfare.

Making it Personal:

What is one specific truth God is teaching now?

How can I apply what God is teaching right now?

What do I want to share with God concerning what He has taught me?
